Subscriptions and billing
How the free trial, the Pro and Club plans, card payments and invoices work.
The free trial
When you create your team, a 15-day free trial starts automatically with every feature of the Pro plan: no card, no commitment. You can see the remaining days in Settings → Plan and data → Subscription. You can subscribe at any time, even before the trial ends.
The plans
The subscription is paid per season (one year), not per month. Both plans include every feature: team management, calendar and attendance, documents, statistics with DataVolley import, live scouting and video analysis. The differences are teams and video storage.
- PRO €59.99 per season — 1 team, up to 18 athletes and 6 staff members, 50 GB of video storage.
- CLUB €89.99 per season — everything in Pro, but with 2 teams and quick switching between them, 18 athletes and 6 staff per team, 120 GB of video storage.
Who manages the subscription
The subscription belongs to the team but only the coach manages it: other members don't see the Subscription page and can't pay.
Activating a plan
- Go to Settings → Plan and data → Subscription.
- Pick the plan and tap Activate.
- Payment opens in your browser, on a secure page: enter your card and billing address (you can add a VAT number or tax code if you need the invoice made out to it).
- Once payment is complete the plan activates by itself; in the app you'll find a button to refresh the status right away.
Invoices
An invoice is issued automatically with every payment. You'll find them on the Subscription page, in the Receipts and invoices section, downloadable as PDFs. You'll also receive a payment confirmation email.
Changing plan
- From Pro to Club: on the Subscription page tap "Upgrade to Club". Today you only pay the difference for the remaining period (the exact amount is shown before you confirm) and the expiry date doesn't change.
- From Club to Pro: use Manage subscription; the downgrade takes effect at renewal.
From Manage subscription you open the portal where you can update your card, download receipts or cancel the renewal.
The second team with the Club plan
With the CLUB plan active, the founding coach can create the second team from the team-switch menu: tap Create new team, enter name, gender and league. The new team uses the main team's Club plan, at no extra cost.
What happens at expiry
If the trial ends without a subscription, or the subscription isn't renewed, the app pauses and shows a dedicated screen:
- the coach sees the plans and can reactivate everything with a payment;
- athletes and staff see a prompt to let the coach know: as soon as they renew, everything comes back as it was.
The same rule applies to every kind of interruption: no renewal at the end of the season, failed payment (e.g. expired card), subscription cancellation or refund. If only the upgrade difference is refunded, the team simply goes back to the PRO plan.
Cancellation, withdrawal and refunds
The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, but you can cancel it at any time, no reason needed:
- Open Settings → Subscription and tap Manage subscription: the secure payment portal (Stripe) opens.
- Choose Cancel subscription and confirm.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for: until then you keep using everything as usual, and after that you're never charged again. The team's data is not deleted and you can always download the season archive.
Right of withdrawal (14 days)
If you subscribed as a consumer, under Italian law (Italian Consumer Code, Legislative Decree 206/2005) you have the right to withdraw within 14 days of subscribing, without giving any reason. Just write to us at support@volleycontrolcenter.com, mentioning your team and the activation date.
If you withdraw, we refund what you paid; if you've used the service in the meantime, only an amount proportional to the days of use is deducted, as provided by article 57 of the Italian Consumer Code.
How to request a refund
Write to support@volleycontrolcenter.com from your account's email address, mentioning the team name and, if you have it, the invoice concerned. We'll reply with the timing and details: the refund goes back to the same payment method used for the purchase.
