Getting started for coaches
From signing up to a team that's ready to go: everything you need to get started.
1. Create your account
As a Coach, you're the one who creates the team. You can sign up in two ways:
- With Google or Apple: tap the button at the top of the sign-up screen. Sign-in starts right away; if you're a new user, the app shows the "Complete your profile" step, where you pick the Coach role and enter your team's name. Your name and email come pre-filled from your Google or Apple account.
- With email and password: fill in your first name, last name, email and password with confirmation. The password must be at least 8 characters long, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter and a number: the checkmarks light up as each requirement is met.
If you sign up with email, you'll receive a confirmation message: open the link and the app carries on by itself. The link is valid for 48 hours and you can have it resent. If you sign in with Google or Apple, you skip this step.
2. The team creation wizard
Right after signing up, a guided setup takes you through a few quick steps. You can change everything later from Settings.
- Team details — team name, gender (men's, women's or mixed) and league (e.g. "Serie D, Under 18").
- Logo — upload a PNG or JPG image. A square logo works best, but a rectangular one is fine too: it's always shown in full, never cropped. You can also skip this step and upload it later.
- Plan — the free trial of the Pro plan is already active when your team is created: you can keep going for free and decide later, or subscribe right away to a Pro or Club plan. Payment opens in your browser and the plan activates automatically.
- Quick invites — create the invite link and share it with athletes and staff: they'll join the team with one tap, with the role they picked when they signed up.
- Roster — the wizard ends on your team page, where you can start adding players.
You don't have to do everything right away: the invite link and team code are always within reach in More → Settings → Invite new users.
3. What you can do as a coach
- Events and calendar: a calendar of practices and matches, saved venues, attendance with per-player notes and PDF attachments (e.g. call-up sheets).
- Team and roster: players with photos, jersey numbers, positions, plus your coaching staff.
- Members and invites: you approve join requests and decide what the staff can do.
- Documents: a general archive plus match documents organized by competition.
- Statistics and live scouting: import DataVolley scout files and track matches point by point.
- Video analysis: upload match videos and analyze them with clips and filters.
- Polls: lineup voting, self-assessments and questionnaires for your athletes.
- Season: at the end of the year, export the archive and start fresh.
