Documents

Score sheets, call-up lists, forms and team materials, organized and always within reach.

The Documents section is split into two worlds:

How match documents are organized

Match documents follow a guided path: pick the competition type, then (if there is one) the stage or group, then the match, and finally you see that match's documents. Each document can be labelled Pre-Match or Post-Match, so you can tell the lineup sheet from the score sheet at a glance.

The matches in this document calendar are created and edited by entering the opponent, date and location, plus the competition they belong to.

Uploading a document

Documents can be uploaded by the coach and by staff members with the "Add documents" permission.

  1. Open the Documents section and tap the upload button.
  2. Choose the file from your device.
  3. Give the document a title (the app suggests the file name).
  4. Choose the destination: Matches or General archive.
  5. If it's a match document, set the category (Pre-Match or Post-Match) and the match it belongs to.
  6. Confirm the upload.
At the moment, the Documents section on iPhone and iPad is view-only: to upload files, use the web app at www.volleycontrolcenter.app or the Android app.

Who can see documents

Uploaded documents are visible to the whole team: athletes and staff can preview them directly in the app. The latest uploads also appear on the Dashboard, in the "Recent documents" section, so nobody misses them.

Coaches and staff can also delete a document that's no longer needed.

Notifications

When a new document is uploaded, the news shows up in the in-app notification bell. Those who chose the "All" push level also get a push notification on their phone; those who chose "Essential" only see it in the bell. Details are in the Notifications guide.

What about event PDFs?

Besides the documents in this section, you can attach a PDF directly to a calendar event (for example the call-up list for a match): in that case the file opens from the event details. See the Events and schedule guide.

Use clear titles and the Pre/Post-Match category: as matches pile up, finding "Lineup sheet – Round 5" is much easier than hunting for "doc_final_v2".
