Statistics

Import .dvw files, look at the report for all matches or only the ones you choose, and read every percentage together with the sample behind it.

iPhone and Android version 2.2.0 is available on the App Store and Google Play. Update the app to use the new features.

Some statistics labels may appear in Italian in the app, especially on Android: the Italian name is shown in brackets.

Where they are and who sees them

Open More → Statistics. You can also get there from a Match page.

Coach and staff see team reports according to their roles; importing files and managing matches requires the Scouting permission.
Athletes see their own statistics card. An athlete can't open a teammate's card.
Supporters don't access personal statistics.

Importing a .dvw file

Full statistics come from scout files in .dvw format, exported by scouting software such as Ace Evolution, Data Volley or other compatible programs. VCC reads the file: no specific software is required.

Go to More → Statistics and tap Import .dvw file, or import from the match page.
Choose the match file and check the preview: teams, date and players found.
Select which team in the file is yours.
Check the matching of each jersey number with a roster athlete: fix wrong suggestions and exclude anyone you don't want to import.
Confirm. The match appears in the list and, if you imported from a match page, stays linked to it.

A similar name or the same jersey number isn't enough to identify a player with certainty: the matching you confirm is used in every report and in Game analysis. If you don't see the import button, ask your coach for the Scouting permission.

Total: all matches

Total (Totale) starts from all the team's matches. Filters are optional and grouped in a collapsible section: use them only to narrow down, for example, to a date range or a phase.

Selected matches: one or more games

With Selected matches (Singole gare) you get the report for only the matches you pick, even non-consecutive ones.

Tap Selected matches and open the match list.
Tick one or more matches (up to 100). At the top you see how many you picked.
If the list is long, use the From/To filters and phase: they filter only the list and don't remove matches already picked. For a single day, set the same date in From and To.
Tap Show the report (Mostra il report).

If no match is selected, the app asks you to choose at least one: it doesn't show Total instead. Selected matches outside the current filters are shown with a count and can be removed.

If Selection to update (Selezione da aggiornare) appears, one of the selected matches is no longer available (for example its import was relinked). Reload the list and remove matches no longer counted: the selection isn't replaced by Total.

Reading percentages, zeros and data not recorded

Every percentage comes with its sample, e.g. "10/92". When you select several matches, VCC adds up the counts and then calculates the percentage, instead of averaging percentages:

Worked example: match A 1 of 2, match B 9 of 90 → report 10 of 92 = 10.9% (not the 30% average).

What you see	Meaning
0% with attempts	The skill was recorded, but no attempt succeeded. It's real data.
No attempts	The skill could be recorded but there were no actions: no percentage is calculated.
Not recorded	The file or box score doesn't contain that data.

Missing indicators are grouped in a collapsible section, Not recorded in this file, Not recorded in the live box score or Not recorded in the selected matches, with the reason and an explanation of the formula. If everything is available the group doesn't appear. No data is deleted by the reordering: imported counts remain available in the detail view.

.dvw file and live box score of the same match

A match can have two sources: the imported .dvw file and the live box score from live scouting.

If a .dvw file is associated with the match, the file takes precedence.
The excluded live box score stays in the history but isn't added and doesn't fill data missing from the file.
If the match only has the live box score, the report uses it and names it as the source.

The report shows excluded sources and coverage for the selected matches. To see them on the match page, open Matches.

Imported statistics don't guarantee that VCC reads every possible field of every .dvw export: recognised and stored data is used, and the rest is marked as not recorded.

Top scorer and MVP

The top scorer is calculated automatically: the athlete with the most points.
The MVP is an optional choice made by the coach. The app doesn't assign it on its own.

Rankings, opponents, videos and archive

Rankings and Best match: rankings by skill with matches played, and the best performances for the chosen metric.
Game analysis: from the report open side-out, break, rotations, attack and score flow. Guide: Game analysis.
Opponents: the opposing team's and its players' statistics open from Opponents → Imported from .dvw files; they don't enter your team's totals.
Video: the same .dvw file can generate clips in Video analysis without uploading it again.
Archive: matches and numbers go into the end-of-season archive (see Season and archive).
