Weight training plans
The trainer builds gym plans with a guided builder, athletes follow them from the Gym tab: checkmarks, logged loads and progress charts.
No more plans on paper or Excel sheets: from version 2.0, weight training plans live in the app. Authorized staff create and assign them from More → Training plans, assignees get a notification and find their plan ready — athletes in the new Gym tab, staff members in More → My training plans.
For the staff: the 4-step builder
Creating a plan is a guided flow in four steps: Details, Assignees, Exercises and Summary. You can go back at any point — nothing gets lost.
1. Details
- Title and goal (e.g. "Maximal strength").
- Day label (optional, e.g. "Tuesday"): it lets you give the same person several plans — one for each gym day — without mixing them up.
- Validity period, with the quick presets This week and This month, or free dates.
- Expiration notice: choose how many days in advance you want to be warned that the plan is about to expire.
2. Assignees
Choose who the plan goes to: by court position (e.g. all the middle blockers), by staff role or individual people, searching them by name. You can combine selections however you like.
3. Exercises
Exercises come from the team library: you create each exercise once, with a photo, a description and a video link, and reuse it in every plan. Inside a plan, each exercise goes into a section — Warm-up, Main part, Core, Cool-down — and is configured with:
- sets × reps or duration (for timed exercises);
- load: fixed kg, %1RM, RPE or bodyweight;
- tempo and rest between sets;
- free notes for the athlete.
Two exercises to alternate with no rest? Select them and tap Superset: they get grouped and labeled A1/A2, and "Ungroup superset" makes them independent again.
4. Summary
The last step is a preview of the plan exactly as the athlete will see it: sections, exercises, loads and notes. If everything looks right, hit Save and send: assignees are notified and the plan is active right away.
Expiration, extension and reuse
A few days before the plan expires (you picked the notice period in the Details step), whoever created it gets a notification: "The plan is about to expire: update it or extend its validity". From the plan's menu you have two shortcuts:
- Extend — push the end date forward without touching anything else: ideal when the plan is fine as it is.
- Duplicate — create a copy to tweak: the fastest way to renew plans month after month, changing only loads and progressions.
For athletes: the Gym tab
Athletes get a fifth tab at the bottom, with the dumbbell icon: inside is their own plan, organized by section. During the workout:
- Finish an exercise and mark it Done: the session's progress ring fills up as you go.
- Where the trainer asks for it, log today's kg: next to the field you see "last time: X kg" to set your load right away.
- Tap an exercise for the details: photo, description, technique video, notes and the chart of your loads over time.
Checkmarks and logged loads don't stay locked in the athlete's phone: the trainer and authorized staff find them in the Athlete file, so they can see who's actually training and how the loads are growing.
Who can create plans
Creating and managing plans is reserved to whoever is enabled for the Training plans function in the team permissions: the founding coach decides whether to open it to the whole staff, to specific roles (typically the athletic trainer) or to individual people.
